Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Occupational Therapist (OT) serving K-12 students in a school setting located in Sandia Park, NM. This contract role covers the current school year (CSY) and offers a dynamic caseload working across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- COTA position will be based on the east side of the district, collaborating closely with the district OT.
- OT role is itinerant, supporting multiple school locations within the district.
- Deliver occupational therapy services geared toward enhancing students functional abilities and educational performance.
- Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid COTA or OT license.
- Candidates must have their professional education documentation (PED) completed and in hand; no pending PEDs will be considered.
- Experience working in a K-12 educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
- Onsite candidates are highly encouraged to apply; itinerant or remote candidates will be reviewed as per district preferences.
